JERRY GJERDE

Restoring vehicles is not only Jerry's job. It's always been his life's passion. Since Jerry was a teenager cars have been his life. He began working for his dad, James Gjerde, who owned and operated “Gjerde Auto Sales” in Callaway, MN. James would buy vehicles to sell on his used car lot, and Jerry would do the auto body and painting to freshen them up for re-sale. This eventually evolved into Jerry operating his own auto body shop in Calloway called "Jerry’s Auto Body."

Jerry has experience in everything from simple rust repair to complete frame-off rotisserie restorations. From simple paint jobs to custom painting, rust repair to panel patching, welding, and fabricating, and from motor repair to complete engine rebuilding,  he loves every aspect of the process no matter how big or small.

Throughout his 30 years of experience, Jerry has had the privledge of working on a large variety of customer projects from 1930’s vintage vehicles, to Muscle Cars, Classic Trucks and Tractors. He also enjoyed six years of building fire trucks in Brandon, SD. In 2010, Jerry and his family moved to Mandan, ND and he opened Memory Lane Auto Restoration at its current location.

Jerry believes the perfect restoration is the one that the customer envisions - not the shop. Listening to our customer is paramount, and the customer is included in all decisions throughout the entire restoration process. Not only does this achieve a great reputation for the shop, but simply put, it also ensures that the entire experience as well as the end result is even better than what they expected. There is no greater honor than when a a referral walks in our door.

JODY HONEYMAN

Jody has always had a love for vehicles, but his love for restoration really began when he worked at Honeyman Farms in Morristown, SD. Working on the farm provided Jody with a perfect opportunity to perform restorations on several antique tractors and vintage vehicles - with all the wiring and mounting built from scratch.

Throughout the years, Jody has worked in all areas of diesel and gasoline engine repair, diagnostics and troubleshooting. His areas of expertise include electrical systems, hydraulic systems, drivetrains, brake systems, welding, machining, fabrication, preventive maintenance, and steering systems to name. For technical issues, Jody is a pro at using schematics, technical manuals, diagnostic software and test equipment as well as specialty tooling. He is also experienced in gasoline engine diagnostics, rebuilding engines, transmissions, differentials and carburetor. Additionally, he works with MIG, stick TIG, and OXY/Acetylene, plasma cutter, Lathe, milling machine, sheet metal tooling including brake (press and box/pan), shear, punch press and spot welder.

Jody has vast experience with rust repair/patching body panels and frame components, and he understands that a show quality paint job is only as good as the metal work underneath. He has an eye for detail and works meticulously to ensure quality work in a timely manner. Jody's problem-solving skills are second to none, and he will always meet a challenge with a positive attitude. He firmly believe that if it can be imagined it can be built, and that's someone you want to entrust your restoration to.
